27th October 2007
Sixty people enjoyed an evening of quizzery at the Radley Village Hall on the 27th October, with a delicious hot supper provided by Save Radley Lakes Supporters who know how to put on a good spread. Following on from the Craft Fair, the supporters who had manned the stall at the Abbey in really very cold conditions were still willing to work in their kitchens to provide the superb hot buffet which provided ample food for everyone to have a decent portion and for a few to go back for seconds!
The Quizmaster was, once again, Eleanor Dangerfield, who threw a few googlies to make sure that the worthy winners were all-knowing. The interval quiz, identifying the logo, gave rise to a certain amount of headscratching as everyday corporate logos (with the exception of npower of course) were scrutinised and the product identified.
The sound system was provided free of charge by one of our supporters Dee which meant that everyone could hear the clues without too much difficulty.
Michael Bloom was the scorekeeper and ensured that the respective teams knew their various positions as the evening progressed.
Thanks to all those who provided food, raffle prizes and bought tickets which raised a further large sum for the payment of legal expenses which are being incurred in mounting a legal challenge.
